If you want some good sports sites for kids, this review should cut down on wasted browsing time and expensive phone bills! Three kids (aged 7, 9 and 11) helped me--I've shown their overall rating with smilies.  My score out of 10 summarizes the kids' general feelings along with educational content, Web design, and any fun extras that kids enjoy. A low score means the site is not good for kids, but the content may be OK for older students and adults.

This is a really cool site!! Loads of information on sports injuries. How to avoid them, what to do (some of the pictures are a bit gory though!). The kids loved it!! 9/10

Pretty Cool. This site is like a sports magazine for kids in New Zealand. Really nice touches like projects and experiments and information on outdoor pursuits. 7/10

Lots of information but not a very exciting site. Gives a reading level for site links, which is very useful. More of a resource tool than a learning site. Overall score 7/10

Wow, a huge site with lots of information but a little too much text and the design is a little boring. Some useful extras like sounds, videos and pictures. Lots of links.  6/10

This site is for junior teachers and kids. It has a small section on physical education. Well set out. Use the word search to find sports-related information. 6/10
