Technology is fascinating! It is out of this fascination that Moving Together came into existence. As I wandered around the Internet over the last few years, I kept bumping into wonderful bits (and bytes) of information. Each time I discovered something new, the same thought came up: "other people should know about this!" Eventually I realized I could start collecting it all into an electronic newsletter to share with colleagues. And thus Moving Together came alive.

Moving Together is an email-based publication that finds the light of Cyberspace about once a month. With the advent of the Sportscience Web site, I have decided that Moving Together can also have a Web-based existence. Each issue will be published here at about the same time the e-mail version hits the electronic trail.

I am always hunting for tantalizing tidbits on emerging technologies and insights on how technological advances are affecting our disciplines. Share them with me and I will see that they get a wider audience. You can contact me by e-mail or other means.

This month my feature item is the National Conference on Technology in Physical Education and Sport at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana from July 31-August 3, 1997. Read more about it in issue #11 of Moving Together. You can also go to the Moving Together homepage for access to the current and past issues.
